Louise O’Brien has worked in public relations for over 20 years, primarily working with clients and companies in the hospitality, travel, culinary and luxury lifestyle industries. She started her career at some of the most well-respected public relations firms in the United States, working with hotels, restaurants, spas, nightclubs, bars, chefs, mixologists, tourist destinations and attractions in New York, Miami, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Chicago and around the world. She spent 10 years in-house at Langham Hospitality Group, growing The Langham Hotels & Resorts and Chuan Spa brands. During that time, The Langham hotels were nominated for and won coveted awards from Travel + Leisure, Robb Report and Condé Nast Traveler for the first time in the brand’s history, and secured thought leadership stories for company executives in both the American and Canadian markets. She also helped to launch two hotel brands at Langham – Cordis and Ying n’Flo – and did the opening press for new hotels and Chuan Spa locations for their parent company in Chicago, Boston, Sydney, Jakarta, London, Hong Kong, Auckland, Australia and throughout China. Louise has been tapped by CNN Travel, Travel + Leisure and The Telegraph as a thought leader for stories on the luxury travel industry and has served as a panelist at a variety of travel industry conferences and, in her spare time, teaches pitching and client relations to up-and-coming public relations professionals.
